BAJUS issued this information in a notice published on Monday (February 2), stating that the new price would take effect from 10:45 AM the same day.
The notice mentioned that the new price was determined considering the overall situation, including a decline in the local market prices of pure gold.
According to the new price list:
21-carat gold will be sold at 239,754 taka per tola.
18-carat gold is now priced at 205,520 taka per tola.
Traditional gold is priced at 168,195 taka per tola.
However, these prices do not include the government-mandated 5% VAT and a minimum 6% labor charge set by BAJUS. The labor charge may vary depending on the design and quality of jewelry.
Previously, on the night of February 1, BAJUS had adjusted gold prices, lowering the price of 22-carat gold by 1,925 taka per tola, which took effect from February 2.
This year, gold prices in Bangladesh have been adjusted a total of 21 times, of which 14 times the price increased and 7 times it decreased. Last year, in 2025, gold prices were adjusted 93 times, with 64 increases and 29 decreases.
Meanwhile, silver prices have remained unchanged. Currently, the price of 22-carat silver is 7,290 taka per tola, 21-carat silver is 6,940 taka, 18-carat silver is 5,949 taka, and traditional silver is 4,432 taka per tola. This year, silver prices have been adjusted 14 times, with 9 increases and 5 decreases.
