PNN News Desk | Dhaka:

During the Dhaka University Central Students’ Union (DUCSU) election, a female student at a booth in the TSC center reportedly entered the booth four times after alleging that the ballot already had cross marks. Chief Returning Officer Professor Dr. Mohammad Jasim Uddin stated that the student left the booth multiple times and spoke with several individuals.

On September 9, around 11:00 a.m., the center chief reported that the student first received the ballot and entered the booth. After over a minute, she claimed that the ballot already had marks for two candidates. With the help of polling officers, the ballot was placed in a separate package and she was issued a new ballot.

Footage review shows that the student entered the booth four times: the first visit lasted about 40 seconds, the second 66 seconds, the third 2 seconds, and the fourth over 10 minutes. Professor Jasim Uddin commented, “Repeated entry and exit from the booth and conversations with multiple individuals appeared suspicious. The matter is being examined carefully.”
