Washington, July 1, 2025 — After Israel expended a significant amount of military arsenal during its recent 12-day conflict with Iran, the United States has approved the sale of bomb-related equipment worth approximately $510 million to Israel, according to a report by The Times of Israel.
On Monday, the U.S. Defense Security Cooperation Agency (DSCA) issued a statement confirming the proposed sale, emphasizing that it would enhance Israel’s ability to protect its borders, critical infrastructure, and civilian population. The DSCA further stated that this deal would strengthen Israel's capabilities to address both current and future threats.
"The United States is committed to ensuring Israel’s security," read the DSCA statement. "Maintaining a strong and ready self-defense capability for Israel is vital to U.S. national interests."
The announcement comes amid growing controversy and humanitarian concern, as recent Israeli airstrikes in Gaza reportedly struck schools, hospitals, and cafes, resulting in the deaths of at least 95 people. Analysts warn that the timing of this weapons deal could further inflame tensions in the already volatile Middle East region.
