Three Arrested in Lakshmipur for Selling Alcohol from a Pharmacy, Including Owner and Son

In Lakshmipur city, the military has arrested three people, including the owner, for allegedly selling alcohol secretly from a pharmacy on Sadar Thana Road. The operation took place on Thursday (September 18) at 8:30 PM at Joy Pharma and the house behind it.

Those arrested are Kishore Kumar Saha, the pharmacy owner and lawyer, his son Joy Saha, and employee Shridham Bachar. During the raid, 23 liters of alcohol were seized from the shop and the house.

Captain Rahat Khan of the Lakshmipur Sadar Camp stated that Kishore Kumar had been selling alcohol illegally behind the pharmacy for a long time. Based on a tip-off, the authorities conducted the raid and caught them red-handed.

He further mentioned that after initial questioning, the three detainees will be handed over to the Department of Narcotics Control for further action at the police station.

The incident has caused a stir among local residents, who said that despite Kishore Kumar running this illegal business under the guise of being a lawyer for years, no one dared to speak up until now.
