The goal is to launch this service within six months to ensure equal opportunities for hill students in e-learning and modern education.Supradip Chakma, advisor on Hill Tracts affairs, said this would be a technological revolution connecting students in remote areas with experienced urban teachers, helping establish educational equality. He added that the initiative would make students proficient in technology, benefiting their higher education and careers.
The government also plans to build engineering colleges, nursing colleges, hostels, orphanages, and dormitories in the hill region. Additionally, a three-year project on bamboo cultivation, livestock farming, and fisheries will accelerate economic development in the Chittagong Hill Tracts.
Chakma emphasized that bamboo cultivation will play a key role in strengthening the economic foundation of the hill region and contribute to environmental protection. The government also focuses on increasing the income of local people through the cultivation of cashew nuts, coffee, and maize.
He further stated that the government is committed to protecting the rights of all communities in the hill region and achieving economic self-reliance. To ensure the country's development while maintaining communal harmony, the doors of the Chittagong Hill Tracts remain open.
The advisor mentioned future plans to enhance economic potential through proper utilization of resources in the Kaptai Lake, including fishing and utilizing water bodies, contributing to national development.
He also said the current government is tirelessly working to create a better and supportive sports environment for students. Under the leadership of the chief advisor, efforts will continue to build a prosperous and united Bangladesh in the Chittagong Hill Tracts.
