Actress Farin Khan experienced a frightening incident while traveling from Dhaka to Jamalpur for a drama shoot. Late at night, after stopping at a petrol pump in Tangail, she sensed the presence of a suspicious person inside the washroom. She narrowly escaped a major danger after screaming and coming out in time.

She described the incident in detail in a Facebook post and later confirmed it in a media interview. She said that on May 13, she left Dhaka for Jamalpur to participate in the shooting of a drama made for Eid. Other members of the shoot unit were traveling in separate vehicles. Around 3:15 AM, her vehicle stopped at a petrol pump in Tangail.

Farin said that after finishing her necessary work, she entered the washroom. After a few minutes, she felt that someone was behind her. When she turned around, she saw two hands coming toward her neck from the ventilation area.

Realizing the danger, she screamed loudly and quickly came out of the washroom. Hearing her screams, the driver rushed to the spot and tried to catch the suspect, but the person managed to escape. It was later learned that the individual had been roaming the area after coming out of a nearby hotel.

Although she was physically safe after the incident, she said she was deeply mentally shaken. In a Facebook post, she wrote that although she appeared normal externally, she was internally under extreme fear and stress.

Sharing her experience, Farin also said that women working outside still face serious safety concerns. She added that women often encounter risky situations during travel and work.

Farin Khan made her debut in the Bangladeshi entertainment industry in 2017 through the film Dhatteriki, and later became known through dramas and web content.
