The arrested Nawab Hossain is a resident of Chaisaara village in Gobindapara Union, Bagmara, and was the Joint General Secretary of the Gobindapara Union branch of the Tanti Party. Hundreds of local residents staged a protest at the Bagmara police station demanding security and his arrest. After receiving assurances from the authorities, they dispersed. Following a complaint filed by the victim at night, police arrested Nawab with the assistance of technology.
