Protest Rally in Kishoreganj in Support of BNP Leader Fazlur Rahman

Leaders and activists of the BNP held a rally and gathering in Ashtagram, Kishoreganj, protesting the alleged conspiracy against Fazlur Rahman, advisor to the BNP Chairperson and a freedom fighter.

The rally, which started Monday afternoon from the playground in the upazila headquarters, marched along the main streets of the town and concluded with a brief gathering in front of the Muktijoddha Bhaban. Over a hundred party members participated.

The gathering was presided over by Nizamul Haque (Nazrul), senior joint general secretary of the Upazila BNP. Speeches were delivered by Zubayer Hasan (Yamin), member secretary of the Upazila Volunteer League, and several local leaders.

Speakers alleged that a faction of Jamaat and NCP is conspiring to discredit Fazlur Rahman, a long-standing dedicated leader. They stated that Fazlur Rahman has always stood by party activists during times of crisis, and attempts to spread confusion against him will not succeed.

Nizamul Haque warned, “We, the BNP leaders and activists of Ashtagram, Itna, and Mithamain, will not remain silent. If any conspiratorial decision is made, we will protect our leader through protests.”

The event concluded with special prayers and supplications for Fazlur Rahman’s good health and long life.
