Nine Former Students of Fazlul Haque Muslim Hall Elected as Members of Parliament

Nine former students of the historic Fazlul Haque Muslim Hall of Dhaka University have been elected as Members of Parliament in the 13th National Parliamentary Elections. Among them, seven are from the Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP) and two are from Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami. This information was provided by the General Secretary of the Hall Parliament, Md. Imamul Hasan.

On Friday night (February 13), through a post on the social media platform Facebook, Md. Imamul Hasan stated,
"From the historic Fazlul Haque Muslim Hall of Dhaka University, nine brothers have been elected as Members of Parliament in the 13th National Parliamentary Election 2026. Seven brothers were elected from BNP, and two from Jamaat-e-Islami."

The list of elected representatives (according to constituency number) is as follows:

  • Anindya Islam Amit – 87-Jashore-03, BNP

  • Advocate Gazi Enamul Haq – 89-Jashore-05, Jamaat

  • Rokibul Islam Bakul – 101-Khulna-03, BNP

  • S.K. Azizul Bari – 102-Khulna-04, BNP

  • Mohammad Izzat Ullah – 105-Satkhira-01, Jamaat

  • Md. Nurul Islam – 110-Barguna-02, BNP

  • Khandakar Abu Ashfaq – 174-Dhaka-01, BNP

  • Dr. Abdul Moin Khan – 200-Narsingdi-02, BNP

  • A.N.M. Ehsanul Haq Milon – 260-Chandpur-01, BNP

Fazlul Haque Muslim Hall at Dhaka University has long played an important role in both political and academic spheres. Over time, several leaders active in national politics have emerged from this hall. The election of nine former students in this cycle has further enriched the hall’s legacy.

Analysts believe that the majority of elected former students reflect both their political influence and the hall’s history of nurturing politically prominent leaders.
