New Controversy Surrounding Vijay and Trisha, Parthiban Apologizes for Comments

Recently, popular South Indian stars Thalapathy Vijay and Trisha Krishnan have been the subject of renewed discussion. Amid various speculations about their personal relationship on social media, a comment made at an award event sparked further controversy.

The incident occurred at an entertainment program attended by Tamil actor and director R. Parthiban. During a segment showing various actors’ pictures, Trisha’s image appeared on the screen, and he commented on her character “Kundabhai” from the movie Ponniyin Selvan.

Many considered Parthiban’s comment to be suggestive, as Vijay and Trisha were recently seen together, sparking social media rumors about their relationship.

After the comment went viral, Trisha responded on social media. While she did not name anyone directly, she clearly stated that holding a microphone does not make every comment intelligent, and sometimes irrelevant matters are unnecessarily highlighted. She also mentioned that the organizers told her that the segment including her photo and name was included at the last moment.

As the controversy grew, Parthiban posted an audio message on X (formerly Twitter), claiming that he had made the comment without thinking during a rapid Q&A session. Later, realizing it, he requested the organizers not to broadcast that part.

Bollywood director Vikram Bhatt added another perspective, writing a lengthy post on social media, stating that excessive public curiosity about celebrities’ personal lives often creates mental pressure. According to him, it is not appropriate to discuss the reality of relationships publicly without knowing the truth.

Recently, Vijay’s family life has also been under scrutiny. His wife has reportedly filed for divorce, which fueled new speculations about the actor’s personal life. This comment controversy has stirred significant attention in the South Indian film industry.
