A special exhibition showcasing modern agricultural machinery developed by the Bangladesh Agricultural Research Institute (BARI) was held today in the 25 Mile area of Birganj Upazila, Dinajpur. The Agricultural Research Center organized the event this morning.
Over a hundred farmers from the district attended the exhibition, where they were informed about the usage and benefits of various advanced machines innovated by BARI. Featured equipment included rice threshers, fruit processing machines for mangoes and other fruits, groundnut shellers, and vermi-compost separator machines.
Organizers emphasized that mechanization in agriculture helps increase crop production, saves time, and is profitable for farmers. The key goal of agricultural research is to promote the use of domestic agricultural machinery and technology while reducing dependence on foreign equipment.
The event’s chief guest was Dr. Sheikh Md. Mobarak Hossain, Professor of Plant and Soil Science at Haji Mohammad Danesh Science and Technology University. Senior scientific officer Dr. Md. Shamsul Huda, scientific officer Agriculturist Dibendra Chatterjee, and other dignitaries were also present.
