Khulna University Student Killed in Road Accident at Sajek

A student of Khulna University’s Physics 21st batch was killed and at least seven others were injured in a road accident while visiting Sajek. The deceased has been identified as Rubina Afsana Rinky.

According to reports, students of the 21st batch from the Physics Discipline were traveling to Sajek on a “chander gari” (local tourist vehicle) for a sessional tour. On the way uphill to Sajek, the vehicle lost control and overturned. Among the 12 students on board, Rubina Afsana Rinky died on the spot.

After the accident, local army personnel rescued the injured and rushed them to a hospital. Of the remaining victims, seven are in critical condition and are currently undergoing treatment.

News of the accident has cast a shadow of grief over the entire university. Fellow students expressed deep sorrow over Rinky’s death and prayed for the swift recovery of the injured.
