Jahangirnagar University Islamic Student Organization organizes free medical camp for female students

The Jahangirnagar University (JU) branch of the Islamic Student Organization has officially launched its program “Free Medical Camp 2025” for female students.

On Wednesday (27 August), posters were put up at various locations across the university to publicize the camp. According to the posters, the camp will be held on the second floor of Nawab Faizunnesa Hall (next to the elevator). On the first day, 28 August, it will run from 2:00 PM to 6:00 PM, and on the next day, 29 August, from 10:00 AM to 5:00 PM.

Seven MBBS doctors from various departments will provide services at the camp, including gynecology and obstetrics, diabetology, general medicine, dermatology, and dental care. The camp will also offer diagnosis, medical advice, prescriptions, and necessary general medications. Special gynecological services will be available exclusively for female students.

The president of the JU branch of the Islamic Student Organization said, “Previously, we conducted some activities for general students, but this is the first time we are formally launching publicly. In the future, our programs will be further expanded.”

She added, “We regularly face inappropriate comments and bullying, which often embarrasses many female students. Despite these challenges, we will continue our work. For the sake of Allah’s satisfaction, we want to carry out socially beneficial activities.”

The organizers stated that this free medical camp will play a crucial role in ensuring healthcare for female students and raising awareness within the university community.
