Israeli airstrikes on a water distribution center in Gaza on Sunday killed several Palestinians, including children, health officials reported. These deadly incidents occurred as ongoing ceasefire negotiations in Doha reached a standstill.

On the same day, an Israeli attack on a crowded intersection in central Gaza killed at least 12 people and injured more than 40. Among the deceased was prominent physician, Dr. Ahmed Kandeel.

Al-Awda Hospital stated that the attack on the water distribution center in central Gaza on Sunday resulted in 10 deaths, including 6 children. The Israeli military admitted that the strike, which aimed to target an 'Islamic Jihad terrorist,' was a mistake, with the 'munition landing dozens of meters from the target.'

The Palestinian Ministry of Health reported that 139 bodies were brought to Gaza hospitals in the past 24 hours. This brings the total death toll since October 7 of last year to 58,026.

Meanwhile, ceasefire talks between Israel and Hamas in Doha have lost momentum, with both sides accusing the other of obstructing a deal. A senior Hamas official told CNN that the negotiations were 'stalled' due due to Israel adding new conditions. Conversely, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu claimed that Hamas rejected the latest US-backed agreement, which Israel had accepted.

Sam Rose, acting director of the UN agency for Palestinian refugees (UNRWA), said on Monday that the situation in Gaza is "worse than ever." He added that Palestinians now face the "impossible choice" of either starving or risking death to seek aid.

Several fatal incidents also occurred on Saturday. The Palestinian Ministry of Health claimed that 27 people were killed by Israeli soldiers' gunfire at an aid distribution center near Rafah. However, the Israeli military and the US-backed Gaza Humanitarian Foundation (GHF) denied this claim. The International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) stated that their field hospital received 132 patients with weapon-related injuries, 31 of whom succumbed to their wounds.
