Islami Andolan calls for implementation of July Charter

Islami Andolan Bangladesh has called on the government to implement the July National Charter and related reforms without politicizing them.

Party Secretary General Maulana Yunus Ahmad made the call during a meeting at the central office in Paltan, Dhaka.

He said the July Charter is an important document aimed at restoring democracy and eliminating authoritarianism, created with contributions from various political and social groups.

He warned against politicizing national issues, saying such actions create division.

He emphasized reforms in human rights, anti-corruption, judiciary independence, and legislation.

He also called for a referendum on forming an upper house.

He warned that failure to implement commitments would be betrayal to the people.
