Iran has executed three individuals accused of spying for Israel, according to Mizan, the official news agency of Iran’s judiciary. The individuals were also convicted of attempting to smuggle equipment into the country “with the intent to carry out assassinations,” Mizan reported.
The executed individuals were identified as Idris Ali, Azad Shojaei, and Rasoul Ahmad Rasoul. Authorities stated that they were arrested and prosecuted for "collaborating with Israel."
In a related development, state-affiliated Nour News reported that Iranian authorities have arrested an additional 700 people over alleged ties to Israel during the recent 12-day conflict, further escalating tensions between Tehran and Tel Aviv.
