Housewife Dies After Being Attacked by Husband in Rupsa, Khulna

In Rupsa Upazila, Khulna, a housewife named Parvin Begum (38) was killed due to a domestic dispute. The tragic incident occurred on Thursday afternoon in Jughihati village of the upazila.

Locals reported that around 12 PM, an argument broke out between Parvin Begum and her husband, Palash Sheikh. In a fit of rage, Palash attacked his wife with a sharp machete, striking her head and body. Seriously injured, she was taken by neighbors to Khulna Medical College Hospital, where she passed away at around 3:15 PM while undergoing treatment.

Rupsa Police Officer-in-Charge Md. Mahfuzur Rahman stated that the husband, Palash, is currently absconding. The deceased’s body has been sent to the morgue and will be handed over to her family after autopsy. Legal action is being taken in this case.
