A fire broke out at the Chittagong Shopping Complex in the No. 2 Gate area of Chittagong city.
According to reports, the fire started around 9:30 AM on Saturday (April 11).
Fire Service sources said they received the information at 9:45 AM and quickly reached the scene. Five fire service units began working to bring the fire under control.
However, no official confirmation has yet been given regarding the exact cause of the fire, and investigations are ongoing.
Meanwhile, locals claim that the fire may have started from a warehouse on the second floor of the shopping complex. It is believed that the presence of flammable materials caused the fire to spread rapidly.
After the incident, panic spread among nearby shop owners and traders. Many rushed to evacuate their goods to safer places.
No casualties have been reported so far. Details of damage will be known after the fire is fully brought under control.
Fire Service officials said rescue and firefighting operations will continue until the fire is completely extinguished.
