The Israeli aggression against the besieged population of Gaza has continued uninterrupted for 22 months. Sunday marked the 674th day of this assault. Not only military attacks but also a total blockade has caused a severe food crisis, now escalating into a devastating famine. According to the Palestinian Ministry of Health, at least 217 people have died from starvation, including 100 children. In the past 24 hours, five more people, including two children, have died due to hunger.

Alongside famine, Israeli attacks persist relentlessly. In the past day, at least 61 people were killed and 363 injured in Israeli air and ground strikes. Over 22 months, the total death toll in Gaza has reached 61,430, with 153,213 injured.

Meanwhile, ordinary people going to aid centers for food are also falling victim to Israeli attacks. In the last 24 hours, 35 people were killed and 304 injured in such incidents. Since May 27, 1,778 people have died and 12,894 have been injured while trying to receive aid.

Al Jazeera reported Sunday morning that by 1:20 pm local time, at least 39 people were killed in Israeli attacks, including 23 who were collecting food from aid centers.

In protest against Israeli aggression and plans to occupy Gaza, demonstrations erupted in multiple cities including Tel Aviv. Protesters demanded an immediate ceasefire and the release of hostages. At least three people were arrested in clashes with police.

The protests have also spread internationally against the ongoing massacre in Gaza. People took to the streets in countries including the UK, Turkey, Sweden, the Netherlands, Spain, Norway, Switzerland, and Macedonia, demanding an end to the genocide. Hundreds gathered at London’s Parliament Square waving Palestinian flags and holding anti-aggression placards. British police detained 466 people who joined the protests in solidarity with the Palestine Action Group.

In response to the crisis in Gaza, the United Nations Security Council is convening an emergency meeting. Scheduled for 10 am local time Sunday at the UN headquarters in New York, the meeting was called at the request of Britain, France, Denmark, Greece, and Slovenia.
