Important discussions have been held between Bangladesh and China on trade, investment, and mutual interests.
The meeting took place Thursday at the Prime Minister’s Office in Tejgaon, Dhaka.
According to a government statement, the discussion was held during a courtesy meeting between Prime Minister’s foreign affairs adviser Humayun Kabir and Chinese Ambassador to Bangladesh Yao Wen.
The meeting reviewed existing bilateral relations and exchanged views on expanding economic and commercial cooperation. Emphasis was placed on increasing investment and joint initiatives in mutually beneficial sectors.
Prime Minister’s special assistant on investment and capital markets Tanvir Gani and Chinese Embassy Economic and Commercial Counsellor Song Yang were also present.
Officials expressed hope that such discussions will further strengthen economic relations between the two countries and create new investment opportunities.
