At least 16 Palestinians have lost their lives in Israeli air and ground attacks in Gaza. According to medical sources, five of the deceased were civilians waiting for aid.
Meanwhile, in the West Bank, Israel has announced plans to build over 3,000 new settlements in the controversial E-Wan area, drawing international criticism. Critics argue that dividing this region would directly harm the future territory of a Palestinian state.
Al Jazeera reports from central Deir al-Balah in Gaza that recent days of extreme heat have made life even more unbearable for displaced people. Thousands living in temporary tents are enduring the scorching temperatures without electricity, fans, or cooling facilities.
“You cannot stay inside the tent; it feels like sitting inside an oven,” said displaced woman Sharifa Abu Armaneh. “War and this heat—both together are unbearable.”
The water crisis has also reached a critical point. Residents are forced to wait in long lines for hours to access even small amounts of water. Many families have to choose between drinking, cooking, or bathing with the limited supply.
Resident Abdel Fattah Almabhooh said, “You immediately feel the intensity of the heat inside. We stay outside during the day and sleep outside at night. Life has become nothing but continuous suffering.”
