Anthropic’s New Enterprise Subscription: Cloud Code Now Available for Business Use

On Thursday, Anthropic announced a new subscription plan that connects Cloud Code with Cloud for Enterprise. Previously available only for individual accounts, Cloud Code is now accessible to enterprise users as well, enabling businesses to leverage more complex integrations and robust administrative tools.

Scott White, Anthropic’s Product Lead, said, “This is the feature most requested by our business teams and enterprise customers.”

The new integration will help Anthropic compete with command-line tools from Google and GitHub, which already supported enterprise integration at launch.

Launched in June, Cloud Code quickly gained popularity, offering a more agentic programming experience compared to traditional IDE-based tools. However, its popularity has also brought some challenges, such as unexpected usage limits for individual users. The new enterprise plan partly aims to address this, allowing businesses to control budgets and scale for higher usage.

Anthropic is particularly optimistic about integrating Cloud Code with the Cloud.ai chatbot, which can now be managed more flexibly in an enterprise context. Organizations subscribing to the new plan will be able to create Cloud Code prompts with the Cloud chatbot or connect the command-line tool deeply with their internal data sources.

White noted, “Enterprise integration is particularly important in Cloud.ai through customer feedback tools. It collects feedback from various sources, summarizes it, and helps transform it into actionable product changes.”

He added, “Working with the idea of understanding the customer’s voice and then creating solutions is truly magical. It’s something I, as a product manager, could not have done a year ago.”
