At least 89 more Palestinians were killed and 453 injured in the latest Israeli attacks on the besieged Gaza Strip, bringing the total death toll in the ongoing military offensive to 59,586, according to Palestinian health officials.
The figures were reported on Thursday (July 24) by Turkey's state-run Anadolu Agency, citing the Palestinian Ministry of Health. In the past 24 hours, hospitals and clinics received 89 bodies and over a hundred wounded individuals. Many more are feared trapped under the rubble and remain unaccounted for.
In just one day, 279 additional victims were identified and officially added to government records, causing a sudden jump in the reported death toll.
Since May 27, at least 1,083 Palestinians have been killed and over 7,275 injured while attempting to collect humanitarian aid, according to the Health Ministry. In the past 24 hours alone, 23 people were killed and more than 68 injured by Israeli shelling during aid distribution efforts.
Although a ceasefire and prisoner exchange agreement was initiated on January 19, Israel resumed full-scale attacks on March 18, breaking the truce. Since then, 8,447 Palestinians have been killed and 31,457 injured in renewed assaults.
The humanitarian situation in Gaza has reached critical levels. Severe shortages of food, water, medicine, and medical supplies persist, and hundreds die daily under dire conditions. Rescue efforts remain difficult, with many victims still trapped under collapsed buildings.
The situation continues to draw global concern amid allegations of war crimes and demands for an immediate ceasefire and international intervention.
