Vote Counting for JAKSU and Hall Parliament Elections Completed, Awaiting Results

The vote counting for Jahangirnagar University’s Central Student Union (JAKSU) and Hall Parliament elections has finally concluded, taking over 40 hours to complete.

Professor Abdur Razzak, Principal of Kazi Nazrul Hall, stated, “The vote counting for all halls has been completed. The counting for my hall is also finished.”

According to the Election Commission, after counting votes separately for each hall, all votes will be aggregated and verified before the results are announced.

Voting had taken place last Thursday from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM. Counting began at 10:30 PM and was completed on Friday afternoon around 2:30 PM at the University Senate Hall.

The Election Commission has repeatedly assured that the counting process and the announcement of results will be conducted efficiently. Chief Election Commissioner Professor Md. Moniruzzaman confirmed that the results are ready to be announced for JAKSU and the 21 hall parliaments.

Members of the Election Commission hope to complete the vote verification quickly and announce the results by evening.
