PNN News Desk | Brahmanbaria:
Three carriages of the passenger Kalni Express train became detached while the train was in motion near Talshahar Railway Station in Ashuganj Upazila, Brahmanbaria. Although the incident caused panic among passengers due to the loud noise, no casualties have been reported.

The accident occurred on Thursday, September 11, at around 11:45 a.m. According to railway sources, the train traveling from Sylhet to Dhaka experienced a coupling failure in the last three carriages as it approached Talshahar. The carriages immediately separated, causing alarm among passengers. The train driver quickly recognized the situation and stopped the train after 200–300 meters, controlling the situation.

As a result, train services on the up line connecting Dhaka with Sylhet and Chattogram were temporarily suspended. The train later returned, and the detached three carriages were reconnected. By around 1:15 p.m., the train resumed its journey toward Dhaka.

Mohammad Shahidul Islam, the master of Talshahar Railway Station, stated that despite the accident, passenger safety was ensured and no significant damage occurred.

It is worth noting that just a few days earlier, on September 4, a carriage of the Titas Computer Train was derailed at the same station.
