Thousands of people gathered in Tehran today to attend the funeral prayers of the Iranian martyrs killed in recent Israeli airstrikes, according to Mehr News Agency. The deceased included both high-ranking military officials and civilian victims, highlighting the widespread impact of the attacks.
The streets around Tehran University and the historic Enghelab Square were filled with grieving mourners. As the coffins draped in Iranian national flags were carried through the crowd, emotions ran high—tears filled many eyes, voices chanted “Allahu Akbar” and “Martyrs are immortal”, and an atmosphere of deep sorrow prevailed.
The entire area was gripped by a somber and emotional mood as the funeral proceedings began. People weren’t just there to bid farewell to their loved ones—they came to send a unified message of resistance against Israeli aggression, reaffirming that the blood of the martyrs will not be in vain.
Many Iranians view the sacrifices of the martyrs as a source of national pride, believing it will strengthen unity, resilience, and determination across the country. After the funeral rites, the bodies were sent to their respective hometowns for burial.
