Security strengthened by clearing bushes on Chandpur Kachua-Sachar-Gauripur road

On the northern section of Kachua along the Chandpur Kachua-Sachar-Gauripur and Hajiganj regional roads, bushes along both sides of nearly 10 kilometers of road are being cleared. The operation began on Wednesday from Baraia at the Kachua entrance to Akania Bishwaroad.

Under the guidance of Kachua Upazila Implementation Officer Md. Rakibul Islam, the respective Union Parishads are independently conducting bush-clearing operations. Local sources reported that in recent years, incidents of robbery and theft have occurred in various areas along this road during winter. Although robbers hid in the roadside bushes, they would carry out attacks during vehicle movement.

The initiative is expected to allow the public to travel safely and smoothly along the road. Local UP member Sharif and resident of Changpur village, Abdul Razzak, said, “Clearing the bushes on both sides of the road will significantly reduce robberies.”

Upazila Implementation Officer Md. Rakibul Islam stated that bushes are being cleared from Bachaiya to Sajirpara in Sachar along the Kachua-Sachar-Gauripur road. Ten workers are engaged in this work daily, benefiting drivers and people of all communities in the area.
