Popular Indian Singer Zubeen Garg Dies Suddenly in Scuba Diving Accident in Singapore

Zubeen Garg, the renowned singer, composer, and actor from India’s Northeast, passed away today, Friday, in a tragic scuba diving accident in Singapore. Following the incident, Singapore police rescued him from the sea and rushed him to a nearby hospital, but doctors were unable to save him even in the intensive care unit. He was 52 years old at the time of his death.

Garg was in Singapore to participate in the North-East Festival and was scheduled to perform at the event. His sudden demise has cast a shadow of grief over the country’s cultural community. Fans and fellow artists have expressed their profound condolences and respect on social media.

Born on November 18, 1972, Zubeen Garg entered the professional music scene after winning a gold medal at the Youth Festival in 1992. His Assamese album “Anamika”, released in 1992, brought him recognition. He gained nationwide fame with the song “Ya Ali” from Anurag Basu’s 2006 film “Gangster”.
