Once a Bollywood star: Tulip Joshi – From Acting to Business and Astrology

Tulip Joshi once made waves in Bollywood. She debuted in 2002 with Yash Raj Films’ banner production Mere Yaar Ki Shaadi Hai. Starring alongside Uday Chopra and Jimmy Shergill, the film was a box-office superhit, and its songs gained widespread popularity.

Despite this initial success, Tulip’s subsequent films – Matrubhoomi, Dil Maange More, and Jai Ho – all failed at the box office. After a series of setbacks, she ventured into South Indian cinema, acting in Kannada, Punjabi, Telugu, and Malayalam films, but she did not achieve major success there either. Her last major film appearance was in Jai Ho in 2014.

In her personal life, Tulip married former army officer Captain Vinod Nair. Vinod Nair served as a commissioned officer in the Indian Army from 1989 to 1996 and is also the author of the novel Pride of Lions.

Currently, Tulip has stepped away from the glitz and glamour of Bollywood and runs a consultancy firm established in 2007 with her husband. She works as a successful entrepreneur and professional astrologer. According to her website, she has trained for many years in Vedic astrology and lifestyle consultations.

Tulip Joshi’s journey is now recognized as an inspiring example of moving beyond Bollywood’s glamour into a new chapter of life.
