Rumors Confirmed: Govinda-Sunita Divorce, Case Filed at Bandra Family Court

After weeks of speculation, it has now been confirmed that Bollywood actor Govinda and his wife Sunita Ahuja are heading for a divorce. According to Indian media outlet Hotstarfly, Sunita has filed for divorce at the Bandra Family Court in Mumbai under the Hindu Marriage Act, 1955.

Sunita alleges that Govinda was involved in extramarital affairs, subjected her to harassment in their marriage, and committed marital infidelity. The court had summoned Govinda on May 25, but he did not appear, leading to a showcause notice being issued against him. Meanwhile, Sunita has been attending regular hearings and counseling sessions as per court instructions since June.

Earlier, Sunita had shared details about their marital life and personal struggles in a vlog on her YouTube channel. She stated, “I repeatedly prayed to God that my marriage would survive and that I could live a good life. But it did not happen.”

She also revealed that she has been living separately with her children for several months and even spent her birthday this year alone.

On the other hand, a close source of Govinda told Hindustan Times, “People are bringing up old issues again; there is no question of divorce. Nothing of that sort is happening.” The actor’s manager, Shashi, added, “Every couple has disagreements. But some people and the media are adding extra spice to the story.”

Thus, the long-standing rumors have now been officially confirmed, and the divorce proceedings of Govinda and Sunita are moving toward finalization in court.
