Mehjabin Chowdhury’s Debut Film ‘Saba’ to Release in Theaters on September 26

Director Maksud Hossain’s new film “Saba” is set to premiere in theaters across the country. The film features Mehjabin Chowdhury in the lead role. Although she is already familiar to local audiences, this marks her first full-length movie. After screenings at various international film festivals, domestic audiences will be able to enjoy the film starting September 26.

The story of “Saba” revolves around the struggles of a young woman who has to care for her ailing mother after her father goes missing. Mehjabin wrote on her Facebook page, “This is a special film—bring your mother along; this story is for her too.”

Regarding her preparation for the role, Mehjabin said, “I rehearsed a lot and worked very hard. Because the director and screenwriter shared personal stories, I was able to deeply connect with my character.”

In the film, Rokeya Prachi plays Saba’s mother, while Mostafa Manowar appears in an important role. This marks the first on-screen pairing of Mehjabin and Mostafa Manowar. Audiences are expected to appreciate both the depth of the story and the performances in the film.
