Four Members of the Same Family Killed in Road Accident in Cumilla

A tragic road accident in the Paduar Bazar Bishwa Road area of Cumilla has claimed the lives of four members of the same family. The accident occurred around 1:00 pm on Friday (22 August).

According to the Chowara Bazar Station of the Fire Service, two of their units rushed to the spot upon receiving the news and carried out rescue operations.

Eyewitnesses reported that a Dhaka-bound covered van lost control and overturned, falling onto a private car passing by. All four passengers in the car, belonging to the same family, were killed instantly.

The identities of the victims could not be immediately confirmed. However, the Fire Service stated that the bodies would be handed over to their relatives after completing legal procedures through the local police station.

Traffic on the Dhaka–Chattogram highway was briefly halted due to the accident but later returned to normal.
