Chhatra Dal announces 10-point manifesto for DUCSU and Hall Parliament elections
Chhatra Dal has unveiled its election manifesto for the Dhaka University Central Students’ Union (DUCSU) and Hall Parliament elections. On Thursday (28 August) at 11:30 AM, Tanvir Bari Hamim, the party’s nominated GS candidate, announced the manifesto at the university’s Bot-tola.
Present at the announcement were VP candidate Abidul Islam Khan, AGS candidate Tanvir Al Hadi Mayed, Chhatra Dal central committee president Rakibul Islam Rakib, general secretary Nasir Uddin Nasir, organizational secretary Amanullah Aman, and other party leaders and activists.
During the announcement, Abidul Islam said, “The upcoming DUCSU election on 9 September is an important opportunity for us and the students of Dhaka University to exercise our democratic rights. We are presenting a manifesto with 10 key pledges that will make the campus more modern, safe, and student-friendly. We will work together to reflect the hopes and aspirations of the students, InshaAllah.”
The 10-point manifesto announced by Chhatra Dal includes:
Creation of a modern, joyful, and safe campus.
Security, healthcare, and empowerment for female students.
Quality healthcare and access to education for all students.
Modernization of curriculum, infrastructure, and examination systems.
Improvement of transportation systems and battery-operated shuttle services.
Hassle-free administrative services, education loans, and campus-based employment opportunities.
Engagement of youth in constructive activities; enhancement of sports and cultural programs.
Digital facilities, cybersecurity measures, and prevention of cyberbullying.
Waste management, greening initiatives, and an animal-friendly campus.
Effective DUCSU operations and international collaboration, along with regular DUCSU elections according to the election calendar.
Chhatra Dal hopes that this manifesto will bring significant improvements in students’ civic rights and the quality of education.
