Robert Locascio, who served as CEO of LivePerson for nearly three decades since 2003, has embarked on a new venture. In 2024, he founded Eternos, a legacy service that digitally preserves people’s life stories and voices for their loved ones. The company later rebranded as UR.AI and recently raised $10.3 million in seed funding, led by Mayfield and Boldstart Ventures.

The core concept is the Human Life Model (HLM), which captures a person’s life story, values, and decision-making style using their own data rather than relying on generic large language models (LLMs). Locascio explained that this allows users to create a personal AI for professional or personal use.

On the UR.AI platform, users provide life stories, experiences, and professional backgrounds to build their HLM. Locascio said, “The first step is to know a person’s life story. Where did you come from? Share a story from your childhood. Talk about a turning point in your life.”

The AI, powered by advanced technology, will fully embody a user’s skills and can be applied in content creation, customer service, project management, and more. Unlike other chatbots, UR.AI’s model will simply respond, “I don’t know” if no data is available.

The company expects to generate revenue from subscription fees or commissions on users’ digital avatars. Mayfield managing partner Navin Chadda said the strength of UR.AI lies in targeting professionals and creative individuals. This initiative opens new possibilities for preserving personal experiences and enhancing AI-driven capabilities in the digital era.
