Students must pay all outstanding fees to be eligible to vote in the Central Student Union (SHAKSU) elections at Shahjalal University of Science and Technology (SUST). The university administration issued an urgent notice on Wednesday, November 12.
The notice stated that according to the Central and Hall Student Union constitutions, students must pay semester fees, course fees, credit fees, and all hall-related fees by November 18 to qualify as voters.
Earlier, on Tuesday at 3:30 p.m., the university launched a special menu on its website to facilitate SHAKSU elections. Through this menu, students can access the Election Commission, constitution, voting schedule, voter list, polling arrangements, candidate list, guidelines, code of conduct, results, and other important information.
The university administration warned students that failure to pay fees on time will result in the loss of voting rights.
