The University of Chittagong has announced the admission notice for first-year undergraduate (Honors) students for the 2025-26 academic year. The information was released on Saturday (22 November) by the Registrar’s Office of the university.
To participate in the admission test, students must have passed the Higher Secondary or equivalent examination. The admission application process will be conducted entirely online, and the application fee (including processing fee) has been set at BDT 1,000 per unit or sub-unit. Applicants can apply via the university’s admission website: https://admission.cu.ac.bd.
Application Schedule:
Application Start: 1 December 2025, 11:00 AM
Application Deadline: 15 December 2025, 11:59 PM
Last Date for Fee Payment: 17 December 2025
Application Correction Period: 1–21 December 2025 (Service charge BDT 300 applicable)
Eligibility:
Students who passed the Secondary/Dakhil/equivalent exams in 2022 or 2023 and Higher Secondary/Alim/equivalent exams in 2024 or 2025 under any education board in Bangladesh are eligible. Applicants must also meet the specific eligibility criteria for the selected unit, sub-unit, faculty, and subject.
Units and Sub-Units:
A Unit: Science, Biology, Engineering, Marine Science & Fisheries
B Unit: Arts & Humanities (9 subjects)
B1 Sub-Unit: Drama, Fine Arts, Music
B2 Sub-Unit: Arabic, Islamic Studies, Pali
C Unit: Business Administration
D Unit: Social Sciences, Law, Education, Geography & Environmental Science, Psychology
D1 Sub-Unit: Physical Education & Sports Science
Students who passed GCE (O/A Level) and equivalent exams can also apply after equivalency determination. The equivalency fee is BDT 1,000, and the process must be completed between 1–10 December 2025.
Admission Test Centers:
Tests will be held simultaneously in Chittagong, Dhaka, and Rajshahi. However, exams for B1, B2, and D1 sub-units will only be conducted at the University of Chittagong campus. Applicants must select their preferred test center.
