Two Jubo League Leaders Arrested in Separate Raids in Ashulia

Police arrested two former leaders of Jubo League, the youth wing of the ruling Awami League, during separate operations in Ashulia, Savar. The operations took place between 8:00 PM and 9:00 PM on Friday (14 November). OC of Ashulia Police Station, Abdul Hannan, confirmed the matter around 11:00 PM.
The arrested individuals are Md. Ali Azgar, also known as Jamal Hossain, son of the late Osman Ali from Madhya Gazirchat area, Ashulia, a former Joint Organizing Secretary of Ashulia Thana Jubo League, and Md. Zakir Hossain (40), son of the late Mobarak Ali from Konapara area, Shimulia Union, a former General Secretary of Shimulia Union Jubo League.
Police said that based on confidential information, Ali Azgar was first arrested around 8:00 PM in the Unik area of Ashulia. Zakir Hossain was arrested an hour later in Konapara area of Shimulia.
OC Abdul Hannan said legal proceedings are underway against the detainees, and they will be presented in court on Saturday morning.
