Popular singer and actor Tahsan Khan has announced that he is taking a break from both music and acting. Following the announcement, rumors spread that he was entering politics — a claim he has now directly addressed.
Tahsan made the announcement during a concert in Melbourne, Australia, saying, “At that time, only a few people were present. I didn’t expect it to spread so widely back home. I’ve already stepped back from acting, and I’ll gradually do the same with music. I’m an emotional, poetic person — one spontaneous comment spread far.”
Rumors soon circulated that Tahsan was joining politics, with some even editing his photos to show him wearing a cap associated with a political party.
He said, “I saw one picture where someone edited a cap onto my head to make it seem like I joined a political party! I think this is all part of the game. Many people are obsessed with going viral — it’s happening everywhere.”
Alongside his entertainment career, Tahsan continues to teach at several private universities and plans to focus more on academia after retirement.
He said, “Everyone’s life has different chapters. Recently, I realized there’s so much about life and the world I still don’t know. I need to study more.”
Tahsan has also distanced himself from social media, deactivating both his Facebook page (with nearly 10 million followers) and his Instagram account (with over 3.5 million followers).
He explained, “A retired person doesn’t need these platforms. Social media has become so toxic — negativity spreads faster than positivity. I want people to slowly forget me.”
Fans have reacted with mixed emotions — some supporting his decision for peace and self-discovery, while others expressed hope that he will return someday with a new chapter in life.
