PNN News Desk: Dhaka
Candidates demanding postponement of the 47th BCS written exam marched toward the Chief Advisor’s residence in Jamuna on Tuesday (November 25). Police stopped the march in front of Shahbagh National Museum, where protestors staged a sit-in.

The march began from the National Martyrs’ Memorial. Candidates warned they would continue the protest on the streets if their demands were not met and urged the Bangladesh Public Service Commission (PSC) to take action before November 27.

Candidates argued that previous BCS exams typically allowed six months to a year for preparation, whereas this year less than two months were provided, which they consider unreasonable. They also demanded the resignation of the PSC chairman, claiming the new chairman’s autocratic behavior has further angered examinees.

Candidates pledged to continue the protest until their demands are met and ensure adequate preparation time for the written exam.
