Mahmuda Mitu Named New Convener of NCP’s Jatiya Narishakti

The National Citizen Party (NCP) has dissolved the existing committee of Jatiya Narishakti, an affiliated organisation of the party, and approved a new partial convening committee. Member of Parliament Mahmuda Mitu has been appointed as the new convener. Member of Parliament Nusrat Tabassum has been named member secretary, while Monjila Jhuma has been appointed chief organiser.

The decision to approve the new committee was announced in a notice published on the NCP’s verified Facebook page on Sunday (October 25).

According to the notice, acting on the instructions of party Convener Nahid Islam and Member Secretary Akhtar Hossain, the existing committee of Jatiya Narishakti was dissolved and a new partial convening committee was approved.

Under the new arrangement, Mahmuda Mitu has been appointed convener, Nusrat Tabassum member secretary and Monjila Jhuma chief organiser.

However, the notice did not provide further details about the individuals who would occupy the other positions on the committee.
