Earlier, on the night of 30 October, a draft code of conduct was published. It included mandatory drug tests for candidates. On Sunday, discussions were held with various student organizations and journalists regarding the code of conduct and the election date.
It is noteworthy that on 29 October, the university administration appointed Professor Dr. Mostofa Hasan as Chief Election Commissioner and formed a five-member election commission. The assistant election commissioners are:

Professor Dr. Md. Zulfikar Mahmud (Computer Science and Engineering)

This will be the first time in the university’s history that students will have a Central Student Union election.
