On Tuesday (November 11), eight parties including Jamaat-e-Islami and Islami Andolan will hold a public rally at Paltan Mor, Dhaka, demanding the implementation of the July National Charter, holding a referendum, and other five-point demands. The rally will begin at 2 PM.
The eight parties submitted a memorandum to the Chief Adviser last Thursday and announced the rally in Dhaka. The event will be chaired by Islami Andolan Amir Mufti Syed Muhammad Rezaul Karim, with speeches by Jamaat Amir Dr. Shafiqur Rahman, Bangladesh Khilafat Majlis Amir Maulana Mamunul Haque, Nizam-e-Islam Party Amir Maulana Sarwar Kamal Azizi, JAGPA President Barrister Tasmiya Pradhan, Khilafat Majlis Amir Maulana Abdul Basit Azad, Khilafat Andolan Amir Maulana Habibullah Miazi, and Bangladesh Development Party President Advocate Anwarul Haq Chan.
Jamaat-e-Islami’s central office held a preparatory meeting on Sunday to organize the rally efficiently, chaired by Secretary General Mia Golam Parwar. Islami Andolan Bangladesh also held a preparatory meeting in Paltan, with Secretary General Maulana Yunus Ahmad emphasizing the importance of implementing the five-point demands.
Security and administrative arrangements for the rally at Paltan Mor have been finalized.
