Digital Archive Launched on Nazrul Singer Yasmin Mushtari’s Birthday

On September 8, celebrated Bangladeshi Nazrul song artist Yasmin Mushtari gave a special gift to her fans and researchers on her birthday. She officially launched the “Digital Archive of Yasmin Mushtari,” which preserves her long musical career, including audio-video recordings, awards, interviews, and other important information.

The artist shared that her long-standing goal was to accurately preserve her musical works and achievements for the future. She said, “These days, incorrect information spreads on the internet. If everything is properly available on my own platform, fans and researchers will have access to reliable information.”

The concept and development of the digital archive were carried out by IT company VersedSoft Limited. Fahim Faisal, Managing Director of the company, said, “Many artists and media personalities in the country do not have their own web archives. This is essential for research, information preservation, and professional recognition. Regular updates ensure that the artist’s entire history is maintained.”

Yasmin Mushtari is known as one of the leading Nazrul song artists in the subcontinent. She has made significant contributions to rag-based songs, ghazals, and Nazrul music. She began her musical training at the age of 10 and learned Nazrul songs and ghazals under legendary ustads.

Her musical journey has been enriched with numerous awards and recognitions both domestically and internationally. She was the champion of BTV’s “Notun Kuri,” received the “Sur Saki” award from Nazrul Academy, Channel i’s Best Nazrul Song Artist Award, and national honors from both West Bengal and Bangladesh, among many others.

In her personal life, Yasmin Mushtari lives in Dhaka with her husband Mushtaq Ahmed and their two children. By launching the digital archive on her birthday, she has made her musical legacy accessible to future generations.
