Naeem Rahman, Deputy Director of Bangladesh Bank, has been missing since noon on Sunday, November 9. According to the latest mobile tracking, his location was last detected in the Syedabad area of Dhaka at 12:53 PM. Since then, there has been no trace of him.

It is reported that Naeem went to the office as usual in the morning, but after 12 PM, he left the office leaving behind his bag and ID. Before going missing, he sent a message to a colleague mentioning a job application for his younger sister, saying, “This may be my last wish.” This message suggests he was mentally distressed.

Colleagues describe him as responsible and calm but noted that he had been under significant mental strain recently due to family and financial pressures.

Masum Billah, President of the Dhaka branch of Bangladesh Bank Officers Welfare Council and Additional Director, said: “We are all looking for Naeem. He is the only male member of his family. His mother, wife, daughter, and younger sister are extremely worried. Anyone with information should contact the nearest police station or Bangladesh Bank officials.”

A general diary (GD) has already been filed regarding his disappearance. Police are tracking his mobile location and potential routes. Investigators say determining the reason for his disappearance and ensuring his safe recovery are their primary objectives.
