BNP Chairperson Khaleda Zia transferred to CCU

BNP Chairperson Khaleda Zia has been moved from her cabin to the Coronary Care Unit (CCU) at Evercare Hospital in Gulshan. BNP Media Cell member Shairul Kabir Khan confirmed the news Thursday afternoon (Nov 27).

Her personal physician and a member of the party’s Standing Committee, Prof. Dr. A.Z.M. Zahid Hossain, visited her at the hospital to check her condition. She is now under intensive observation in the CCU under a medical board consisting of domestic and foreign specialists.

Dr. A.Z.M. Zahid Hossain has requested prayers from the public for her speedy recovery. Khaleda Zia was admitted to Evercare Hospital on Sunday (Nov 23) at 8 pm. Until Wednesday (Nov 26), she was under intensive care in the cabin with visible improvement.

The 79-year-old Khaleda Zia suffers from arthritis, diabetes, kidney, lung, and eye problems and occasionally travels abroad for treatment. She went to London on January 7 for advanced treatment and returned on May 6 after 117 days.
