Judge Afroza Haque Tania of Dhaka Executive Magistrate Court-3 issued the order at the request of the complainant, Amirul Islam. The next hearing is scheduled for December 18 to submit a report regarding the arrest.
According to the complainant, Mehzabin and her brother, as partners in a family business, received BDT 2.7 million but delayed starting the business. When the complainant requested the money back, he alleges they threatened and verbally abused him. The incidents reportedly took place between February 11 and March 16, prompting the filing of the case.
Mehzabin Chowdhury, via social media, called the allegations “false and fabricated,” stating: “I am not involved in any business activities. These baseless allegations are intentional, and I will fight them legally.”
She added, “I believe in the country’s laws, regulations, and social responsibility. My lawyer has already begun taking appropriate legal steps to stop the false propaganda.”
The actress also urged media personnel not to publish unverified information and warned her fans and well-wishers not to spread confusion. She said, “Your love and trust are my greatest strength. Stand by the truth.”
