Minibus Set on Fire in Shimrail, Narayanganj

A minibus of Naf Transport, parked in front of the Roads and Highways Department (RHD) office in Shimrail, Siddhirganj, on the Dhaka-Chattogram highway, caught fire.

The fire occurred on Saturday (15 November) at around 6:00 AM.

OC of Siddhirganj Police Station, Mohammad Shahinur Alam, said that the bus had been parked there by the driver on Friday (14 November) night. On Saturday morning, locals noticed the fire and informed the fire service, which quickly brought it under control.

Although the seats of the bus were burned, there were no passengers or drivers present at the time, so no casualties or major damage occurred.

OC Shahinur Alam added that the cause of the fire is not immediately known. Whether it was a mechanical fault or caused by other reasons will be determined after investigation. Appropriate legal action will follow based on the investigation.
