The WhatsApp ID of Prof. Dr. Md. Abdul Majid, Vice-Chancellor of Jessore University of Science & Technology (JUST), has been hacked. Fraudsters are sending messages from his account attempting to collect money from contacts.
The messages began circulating on Tuesday, November 11, requesting: “I need 30,000 BDT via bKash. Can you send it? I will return it tomorrow.”
Confirming the incident, the Vice-Chancellor told The Daily Campus, “My WhatsApp has been hacked. I request that no one transfer money in my name.”
The university authorities have also urged caution, stating that any transaction made using the hacked ID will be considered fraudulent.
