However, a group of students from the 18th batch of the university branch protested against the announced panel. They labeled it a ‘hired panel’ and staged a demonstration in front of the Rafique Building. Around 30–35 students chanted slogans such as “Fake, Fake,” “Eighteen, Eighteen,” “Rise, Eighteen,” and “Against Injustice, Eighteen,” targeting Rakib and Nasir. They also held a protest march.
The protesters demanded that at least five representatives from the 18th batch be included in the panel and that their organizational credentials be verified before announcing the panel. If these demands are not met, they plan to announce a separate ‘United 18th Batch Exclusive Panel.’

Support and opposition to the panel have both been observed among students. This panel has sparked political tension and a new controversy in the JAKSU election arena.
