Bus Fire in Mymensingh’s Fulbaria: Driver Dies

A bus operated by Alam Asia Transport was completely destroyed by fire in Fulbaria Upazila, Mymensingh, allegedly set by miscreants. The bus driver, Julhas Mia (35), was burned and died at the scene.

The incident occurred at around 3:15 am on Monday (10 November) in Valukjan area of the Upazila. Fulbaria Police Station’s Officer-in-Charge (OC) Rokonuzzaman reported that the perpetrators set fire to the bus and fled. The bus was completely destroyed, and the driver succumbed to his injuries on the spot.

The OC added that the burnt body was recovered and brought to the police station. Firefighters and police controlled the blaze, restoring calm to the area.

He stated, “Operations have begun to identify and arrest those involved. We are working to bring the culprits under law as soon as possible.”

Locals reported that there were no other passengers on the bus at the time, so only the driver died. Police have increased vigilance to prevent similar incidents in the future.
